Explore the options psychology offers, and open up a world of careers. Find the right fit for you.

Examine theories and research exploring human thought, feeling and behaviour; the processes and factors that shape who we become through the study of cognition, emotion and mental health; and technology’s application in psychology, e.g., electroencephalography (EEG) and galvanic skin response (GSR) readers.

A minimum of 70% of your core courses are psychology courses; they expose you to the breadth of psychology.

Specializations

You may choose to specialize in one of three areas:*

  • Psychology of Business
  • Psychological Data Analytics
  • Sports Psychology

Different ways of thinking

Benefit from diverse perspectives with courses intentionally designed to address different perspectives in psychology and mental health. For example:

  • Learn about the impacts of oppressive and racist practices on the wellbeing of traditionally marginalized people
  • Learn about Indigenous ways of approaching and understanding mental health and resilience through community and connection with the land
  • Learn about the lived experiences of gender diverse peoples


Research course

Get a solid start in research that can thrust you into success in graduate school. Our thesis course (optional in 4th year) gives you the opportunity to complete undergraduate research with a ton of staff support to show you the ropes. Learn with a Thesis Course Instructor and Thesis Advisor who remain with you every step of your thesis journey. Put your knowledge into practice and discover new skills to take with you to grad school!

Work Experience

100 hours of workplace experience

In the third-year course Applied Study in Psychology, you gain valuable real-world experience as you complete at least 100 hours in a workplace that reflects your goals.

Participate in Common Time: weekly workshops, notable guest speakers and special events that bring together fellow classmates and faculty in an academic and social atmosphere. 

Many activities are run by our student-led societies and Canadian Psychological Association reps.

This free, interactive, annual event takes place across Canada. Get involved in various Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) activities with children, youth, and adults. Heading to law school

Graduate ready for Canadian law school or take advantage of our partnerships in England. Earn a senior status law degree (LLB) with The City Law School, City, University of London in just two years without an LSAT requirement, or a Master of Law (LLM) through distance learning with the University of London in one year (full-time) or up to five years (part-time). Both with reduced tuition.
