Varsity Athletics

As a University of Guelph-Humber student, you can either play for the Humber Hawks in the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association (OCAA) or the Guelph Gryphons in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA).

The Humber Hawks compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics as a charter member of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA). Humber fields 20 varsity teams with approximately 250 student-athletes supported by 11 full-time staff on the campus of Humber College in Etobicoke, Ontario.

Whether it’s team sports you’re after or doing stuff on your own, you can find your fit for active recreation. Humber's Athletic Centre is where you’ll head for fitness classes, intramural and extramural leagues and other casual recreational activities. You’ll meet students from both UofGH and Humber.

Extramural Sports

Looking to play sports, but don’t have the time commitment for varsity athletics? Extramural sports are a level below varsity, allowing you to compete on a team against other schools without the rigorous time commitment that varsity athletes face. You must tryout to play on an extramural team.

Intramural Leagues & Drop In Sports

Intramural sports & drop-in programs keep the action on campus and are designed to give participants an opportunity to learn & play various sports, earn campus recreation rewards & network with other participants while enhancing their overall campus experience regardless of skill level and experience. 

Programs are offered at various times and may be schedule during the daytime, evening & on weekends. Both indoor and outdoor sports may be planned (weather permitting). Pre-registration is required for all league & tournament programs, either as a team entry or as an individual. The opportunity to earn participation gifts & championship prizes is available in all programs.
