Why you want to live in residence:
- As a first-time resident your room will be single style
- Your room is a two-minute walk from the University
- Choose either a co-ed or gender-specific floor
- Choose your dining plan: silver, gold, platinum or diamond
- Dining plans are accepted at the residence dining hall and food service outlets across campus
- Two community kitchens can be used for cooking at home
- Spend your spare time in the recreational space, exercise room or at residence Gym Nights in the campus Athletic Centre
- Make friends with students from both the University of Guelph-Humber and Humber
- Laundry in the building
- Wi-fi in all rooms
- Many social events

Dining plans
Dining plans are mandatory if you live in Residence. Choose from:
- Silver: $2,850
- Gold: $3,400
- Platinum: $4,000
- Diamond: $4,600
You can always top these up online.
Residents are issued a declining balance debit card, which will be honoured at all Humber Food Service outlets. If you don’t have your card when purchasing food, you’ll need another form of payment. Your Dining Plan Card is also your Residence ID card.
Note: All values listed above are estimates based on 2024-25 rates and therefore subject to change. Other fees/costs may apply.
Residence parking
Students living in residence will have access to Lot 1 and DO NOT have to use WebAdvisor to order their parking pass. Learn more.
Applying to residence & rates
3 important things to remember:
- You cannot apply to residence until you have an offer of admission.
- Once you have your offer of admission, apply as soon as possible. Space is allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Applying is a two-step process that can take longer than a week to complete. Don’t leave it until the last minute.
Please note Nov 15, 2024 policy update: All students regardless of home address will be considered equally for residence rooms, while availability lasts. Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline to apply is June 2, 2025, but we recommend that you apply as soon as you have your offer of admission.

Deadlines
- Fall 2025 residence applications open in February 2025 and close June 2, 2025.
- Spring/summer 2025 residence applications open in March 2025.
*You must apply for spring/summer and fall 2025 residence in two separate applications.
For international secondary school applicants only: If you're applying to start our Business program in January 2025, residence applications are due November 8, 2024.
