Team-Building Activities Funding Guidelines
Team-building activities will only be considered for funding if they meet the following criteria:
- Inclusive: The activity must be accessible to all society members regardless of background, interests, or abilities.
- Safety: Activities must adhere to university policies and guidelines. Attendees must understand that their participation is at their own discretion. UofGH and society are not liable in the unlikely event that harm results from activity.
- Funding Eligibility: Funding will only be provided to Guelph-Humber students.
- Relevance: The activity must be related to the society and their mission in some way.
- Strict No Alcohol Policy: Funding will not be provided for activities involving alcohol.
- Proximity: If the activity takes place off-campus, The location should be within a reasonable distance from campus to ensure it is not a barrier to participation for some members.
Sample List of Activities that Will Be Considered for Funding:
- Recognition/Awards Dinner
- Escape Room
- Pottery Class
- Bowling
- Trivia Night
Sample List of Activities that Will Not Be Considered for Funding:
- Purchasing food with no additional supporting activity
- Any bar or alcohol-related activities
- Tickets to a concert or sporting event
- Heightened risk activities such as go karting, axe throwing, etc.
