According to data released by the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC), the number of students accepting an offer to the University of Guelph-Humber is up 16.3% over last year.
“We are thrilled to see such interest in the University of Guelph-Humber,” said Dr. Melanie Spence-Ariemma, Vice-Provost and Chief Academic Officer.
“This reflects our commitment to enrich the university experience of our students through their chosen academic program, student life, and experiential learning opportunities. Each of our programs is unique - integrating theory with hands-on practical learning which will provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be successful upon graduation”.
OUAC’s confirmation figures, released in mid-June each year, are intended to help universities with enrolment planning. They are based on data as of June 1, the date by which Ontario high school students are expected to accept offers of admission. Following two years of a pandemic, there was uncertainty about whether students would approach university the same way.
“We are excited to share all the University of Guelph-Humber has to offer and look forward to welcoming our students back to campus. I would also like to extend a thank-you to our recruitment and admission team that has worked closely with students throughout the recruitment and application process”.
