Spirits are soaring high after the unveiling of the University of Guelph-Humber’s first official mascot − Swoop the Great Horned Owl.
With Vice-Provost John Walsh and Assistant Vice-Provost George Bragues, Swoop took center stage in the confetti filled Atrium on September 16.
The University’s mascot was chosen after long deliberation between the UofGH community and the Mascot Selection Committee, made up of students, staff, faculty and alumni.
The Great Horned owl is sometimes nicknamed Tiger of the Air because, like University of Guelph-Humber, it's nimble, powerful and adaptable.
Make Swoop the V.I.P. at your next on-campus event.
See Swoop any time in the Student Services office in GH108.
