Co-Curricular Record (CCR)
The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is a formal record of skill development that takes place outside of the classroom. The University of Guelph-Humber and Humber College offer students hundreds of skill development opportunities which are an excellent way to improve skills, network, and get official recognition for their involvement. How do I access the CCR?
Beginning in Fall 2024, University of Guelph-Humber students will have the ability to access their CCR through the GHworks platform. As of May 1, 2024, UofGH students will no longer have access to the Humber CCR portal.
What is GHworks ?
GHworks is your comprehensive online portal dedicated to supporting your career journey at Guelph-Humber. Designed for both current students and alumni, GHworks offers a range of resources and opportunities to enhance your professional development.
Within GHworks, you can seamlessly navigate through job postings, field placements, and experiential opportunities tailored to your needs. Whether you're seeking part-time employment, field placement/internships, or full-time positions, our platform provides diverse opportunities to explore.
Additionally, GHworks allows you to track and manage your experiences, both within and outside the classroom. From extracurricular activities to volunteer work and internships, you can document your achievements and contributions starting in Fall 2024, showcasing your skills and abilities to potential employers.
Who has access to GHworks?
All UofGH students already have access to GHworks.
Why did we move to GHworks?
UofGH is focused on creating an efficient and user-friendly CCR experience for students. Moving the UofGH CCR portal to GHworks will capture all experiential learning opportunities on the same platform. Students will be able to review job postings, submit and track field placement documents, and report on their co-curricular activities all on one platform using their UofGH credentials.

Which experiences are CCR Certified?
Experiences must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible for inclusion on Humber and Guelph-Humber’s Co-Curricular Record:
- Must be co-curricular in nature: not part of the academic curriculum, tied to grades, or awards
- Must provide valuable competency development (i.e. provide meaningful learning opportunities for students)
- Have an approved affiliation with Humber or Guelph-Humber per validator’s departmental protocol
- Can be accurately validated by a staff or faculty member
- All experiences must adhere to the Code of Student Conduct policies
When should I add my experiences to my record?
You should add the experience after you complete the minimum requirements for validation. Experiences added before this time may be declined. You’re responsible for ensuring your experiences from May 1 to April 30 are added by April 30 each year. The CCR does not allow activities to be added retroactively from previous academic years.

Who is my validator?
Your validator is most likely your supervisor or the staff member responsible for overseeing the experience. Each experience description will detail the validator’s contact information. Still not sure? Email ccr@guelphhumber.ca with the name of the experience.

Which students are eligible for CCR experiences?
All active credential-seeking students, both full-time and part-time, at Humber College and the University of Guelph-Humber are eligible to have their CCR experiences recognized on the record.
What can I do with my CCR?
Students can include their CCR as a valuable addition to their resumes and academic portfolios. Traditionally, the CCR is used when applying/interviewing for: jobs, internships, scholarships, awards, continuing education and further developmental experiences.
Do other Canadian institutions have Co-Curricular Records?
Yes, a number of post-secondary institutions in Canada are researching, developing, and implementing their Co-Curricular Records.
