Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
Students in Early Childhood Studies and Community Social Services MUST apply for a Vulnerable Sector Screening in advance of placement. Most checks are valid for one year, although some places may require a valid check within the last 6 months. Check with your Field Placement Coordinator for specific timelines.
Failure to apply for this screening will mean that you will not be able to participate in field placement. Students in Justice Studies and Psychology may also need a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen for some placement sites and should consult their Field Placement Coordinator.
