UofGH media students tagged for 7 Pinnacle Awards

Emerge, a project produced by fourth-year media studies students, has been named as a finalist in seven categories of the Pinnacle College Media Awards.

The Pinnacle Awards recognize “excellence in student-produced college media” in North America, and will be given out Oct. 29 – Nov. 2 at the Fall National College Media Convention in Philadelphia.

Emerge is a multiplatform, multidiscipline project by UofGH’s fourth-year media studies students. It includes a glossy magazine incorporating editorial and branded content, a one-day media conference, media and conference websites, a photography exhibition and social media strategy.

Emerge’s Pinnacle nominations include:

  • Website of the Year (four-year program)
  • Feature Magazine of the Year (four-year-program)
  • Best Ad Supplement/Special Section
  • Best Magazine Contents Page/Spread (Design)
  • Best Magazine Entertainment Page/Spread (Design)
  • Best Online Main Page (Design)
  • Best Social Media Main Page (Design)
