UofGH students are joining the millions of people who are taking part in this year’s Universal Exposition in Milan, Italy.  Themed “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” students are seeing first-hand how more than 140 countries, non-governmental organizations, corporations and international organizations are addressing challenges related to food and nutrition.

Program Head of Family & Community Social Services and course director, Paul Sherman:  “Food security has emerged as a major global issue, and one that greatly impacts many local issues of nutrition and health.”

“Gaining first-hand knowledge of the global food industry and examining issues of sustainability, of food culture, of rights to healthy and safe food – these are all issues that will likely present themselves locally as our students begin their careers.”
