More than 20 law enforcement organizations were represented at the annual University of Guelph-Humber Justice Studies Law Enforcement and Emergency Services career fair on campus recently.

The fair is hosted in partnership with the Association of Black Law Enforcers (ABLE) and continues to grow with new agencies or organizations added each year.

This is the first time the fair has been back on campus since the pandemic.

ABLE celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is a non-profit organization created to address the needs of Black and other racial minorities in law enforcement and the community. Among their key objectives are to build bridges between law enforcement agencies and the community at large as well as to support the pursuit of post-secondary education for and to provide scholarship opportunities to racial minority youth. Jacqueline Edwards, President, or the organization attended the event on campus.

This year’s participants in the career fair, included the Toronto Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ontario Provincial Police and Toronto Fire.
