The following message was shared with the University of Guelph-Humber community on February 25, 2022.
Dear University of Guelph-Humber community,
As details continue to emerge about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the University of Guelph-Humber (UofGH) community supports the many students, staff and instructors at UofGH with direct and indirect ties to Ukraine, Russia and the rest of Europe. Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine and Russia during this very difficult time.
To our staff, students and instructors who are impacted by this news, we are with you and want to provide support during this challenging time. Below is a list of services available to students and staff.
Resources for students, staff and instructors:
- Students can contact the Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre for support.
- Good2Talk (1-866-925-5454) is a 24-hour mental health support for Post-Secondary Students in Ontario.
- Humber Employee Assistance Plan services, and University of Guelph Employee Assistance Plan services.
I encourage everyone to support each other during these challenging and uncertain times.
Respectfully,
Dr. George Bragues
Interim Vice-Provost and Chief Academic Officer
