Have a great idea for an on-campus or virtual event? The Student Initiative Fund supports students at the University of Guelph-Humber in creating engaging, community-focused events or initiatives. Successful applicants receive funding and guidance from a Student Life Coordinator.

Eligibility: 

Any University of Guelph-Humber student interested in organizing and facilitating an event or initiative on-campus or virtually can apply. The proposed initiative or event must occur within the Fall or Winter semester. 

Selection Process: 

Successful applicants will be selected by a selection committee. Preference will be given to students who propose an event or initiative that focuses on community enrichment and who have never received the Student Initiative Fund.

How to Apply:

The online application form consists of:

  1. Application questions.
  2. A two-page document that provides the following information:
    1. A detailed proposal of the event or initiative
    2. The anticipated benefits of the event or initiative to the University of Guelph-Humber community
    3. A detailed budget proposal
