Student Life
Your student's life at University of Guelph-Humber is busy and fulfilling. Rigorous academic programs are a priority, but so is community involvement: club membership, being active and playing sports, as well as taking an active role in student government.
Clubs, Societies & Sports
Societies are University of Guelph-Humber student groups whose purpose and interests are related to an academic program with the University.
Student groups whose purpose and interests are not program-specific, and appeal to the general interests of all students, are classified as clubs. There are more than 50 clubs on campus to join or to support.
Students have the option of playing on a varsity team with the University of Guelph or Humber College.
Student Government
Your student is able to apply for executive and program representative positions on IGNITE; the campus student government. They can also apply to be on the University of Guelph’s Senate. IGNITE provides a range of services, including the health and dental plan, legal advice and extensive volunteer and employment opportunities. The University of Guelph Senate is responsible for academic programs, regulations and policies related to the University of Guelph and the University of Guelph-Humber.
Support Services
Your student accesses many services to enhance their life and learning at University of Guelph-Humber. These are shared services offered either through the University of Guelph-Humber or in partnership with Humber College. They include dedicated math and writing centres, peer tutoring, a state-of-the-art athletic complex as well as dental and health coverage.
