New Student Transition Program
The University of Guelph-Humber is committed to assisting new students with their transition to university. We offer many programs and services for incoming students to help them prepare for classes and campus life.
All new students will be placed into a First Year Experience (FYE) group with other new students in their academic program. An upper-year student leader called an FYE Leader will help answer questions they have during the summer and throughout the school year. Interaction will take place online over the summer and students will meet their FYE group members face-to-face at Orientation.
Our Kick Start program is designed to help new students transition into the University of Guelph-Humber. Through live webinars running in July, students, family members & supporters will receive information about course selection, financial services, and wellness supports. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to current student leaders and staff.
Our Orientation program takes place the week before classes begin. New students participate in sessions to prepare them for classes and learn more about their program as well as meet other students, current student leaders and staff.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
