UofGH Expresses Sympathy to Victims of Racist Attack in London, Ont.
The University of Guelph-Humber is mourning the deaths of four family members killed in a racist attack in London, Ont. on Sunday evening. City of London police said that they believe the victims were targeted for their Islamic faith.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends and extended Muslim community affected by this tragic and violent act.
The University of Guelph-Humber stands with the Muslim community in condemning this act of hate and violence and is committed to fostering a culture of respect and equity where every member of our community feels safe and supported.
We understand the toll that acts of violence like this can have on the health and well-being of our staff and students, and the need and value of support during this challenging time.
