International Transfer Applicant

Applicants who do not have Canadian Citizenship, landed immigrant or protect person status are considered International Applicants. International applicants who have studied at the post-secondary level must apply through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) using the 105F application. The deadline to apply is June 1, but applicants are strongly encouraged to submit and application early in 2006.

Those who are applying to more than one program at the University of Guelph-Humber must rank their preferences on the application. Applicants will be offered admission to the highest ranked program for which they qualify.

All applicants are encouraged to complete a Student Profile form, which will be used for admission, scholarships and residence. Additional documents, such as proof of English Proficiency, may be requested.

Admission Requirements
Applicants who have attended university or college outside of Canada must present official secondary school transcripts as well as official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions they have attended. Applicants must have successfully completed their studies or be eligible to continue their studies in the academic session for which the application is made at the last university or college attended.

Applicants must also include senior-level secondary or post-secondary subjects equivalent to the course required of graduates of Ontario secondary schools. Refer to the Admission Requirement's page for information on required subjects.

Secondary School Requirements
The admission committee will review the applicant’s secondary and post-secondary transcripts to determine if they meet the academic requirements.

The applicant may be eligible for admission based on their secondary school alone. The secondary school graduation certificate that would admit an applicant to an internationally recognized university in their home country is normally acceptable for admission to the University of Guelph-Humber. Applicants must also include senior-level subjects equivalent to the course required of graduates of Ontario secondary schools.

Applicants should refer to the International Admission Requirements determine if they meet the requirements through their secondary studies. If the applicant does not meet the admission requirements through their secondary studies, we will review their transcripts and course descriptions to determine if they have met the requirements through their post-secondary studies.

Submitting Documents and Timing and Conditions of Offers
Applicants who currently studying at the post-secondary level outside of Canada are required to submit all admission documents directly to the University of Guelph-Humber. You may contact your school directly and request that an official transcript be sent directly, or you may personally collect your transcript from the school and drop it off or mail it to:

Conditional offers of admission will be made based on interim transcripts (showing grades at the midpoint of the current academic year) whenever possible. All offers are conditional upon successful completion of your academic year.

The deadline to submit transcripts is June 12. Admission decisions will be made beginning in April for students and will continue to be made through June as admission documents are received.
