We encourage all students to complete a Student Profile. The Student Profile or Mature and Transfer Student Profile will provide you with an opportunity to tell the Admissions Committee about activities you have been involved in that have contributed to your personal development, such as work experience, volunteer opportunities and community involvement. Factors beyond your control that may have negatively affected your academic performance, such as illness or personal issues, will also be considered. The Student Profile and Mature and Transfer Student Profile will be considered carefully when making admission decisions and are used as the basis for consideration for the Student Profile Scholarships. See Entrance Scholarships for more detailed information.
Student Profile (High School Applicants)
We strongly encourage all secondary school applicants to complete a Student Profile before the April 1 deadline. Applicants whose average falls in the 70.0-74.9% range must submit a Student Profile to be considered for admission.
Mature and Transfer Student Profile
Applicants who are not currently enrolled in an Ontario secondary school should complete a Mature and Transfer Student Profile. The deadline to submit a profile is April 1. It is recommended that applicants submit a profile before their final transcripts arrive at the University of Guelph-Humber so that the assessment of their application is not delayed.
Student Profile Scholarship
The University of Guelph-Humber recognizes applicants with outstanding community involvement and leadership, and/or who have overcome personal challenges, by rewarding 20 Student Profile Scholarships worth $500 each. All applicants who complete a Student Profile will be considered for this award.
References and Supporting Documents
Applicants are asked to list two people who can verify the information included on the Student Profile. While not required, documents, letters and resumes that support your Student Profile and letters of recommendation may be submitted. Letters of recommendation should outline the amount of involvement and dedication you have demonstrated in your extra-curricular activities, rather than serve as character references.
Documents may be emailed to admissions@guelphhumber.ca, or submitted to:
