Parking Information

The University of Guelph-Humber is accessible by public transit but if you prefer to drive some helpful information is listed below.

Daily Parking
For those who only drive occasionally, a limited number of spaces are available in the "Pay Per Entry" Lots. The charge is $7.00 per entry payable at the gate by coin (exact change required). These lots do not allow any in-and-out privileges during the day.

General Permits
If you intend to drive to campus on a regular basis you should purchase a parking permit. Parking permits are required to park in most lots between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

To obtain a parking permit, please complete and return the Parking Permit Application Form that is available in your Registration Package.

All parking applications will be processed for two semesters. Parking permits are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Motorcycle Parking Permits
Motorcycle parking is restricted to designated areas. If you normally drive a full-sized vehicle and only drive a motorcycle on occasion, a Motorcycle Parking Permit can be requested at no extra charge. Simply indicate whether the motorcycle is to be the primary vehicle or an additional vehicle on the application form.

Parking for Students with Disabilities
Parking spaces are available for students with a valid Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Disabled Person Parking Permit and a valid Humber parking permit. To apply, please complete the appropriate details on the application form. Students with a valid Humber parking permit, who have a temporary health or disability problem, may apply for a special Medical Parking Permit. A doctor's medical certificate is required. The special permit is non-renewable and is valid for a maximum of two months. Medical Permit holders are not allowed to park in spaces reserved for Students with Disabilities.

Reserved Spaces
There are a limited number of Reserved Space Parking Permits available each semester in preferred or designated lots. Electronic gates control entrances to reserved lots and a $10.00 refundable deposit is required for the gate card. To apply for a Reserved Space Parking Permit, please indicate your preference for a Reserved Space on the application form. If a space is not available in the lot of your choice, you will be contacted concerning alternative options.

Parking for Car Pools and Multiple Vehicle Owners
If you are considering a car pool, in which you and another student share driving duties in several vehicles, or you as an individual change vehicles on a regular basis (several days a week), please register each vehicle on the application form. This grants access privileges for any of the registered vehicles on an alternating basis.

Vehicles parked on the Humber campus must be parked according to the Parking Regulations and Municipal Bylaws. Violation of these rules will result in a Municipal Parking Infraction Notice being issued against the offending vehicle. The Regulations are enforced 24 hours a day.
